Non-Golfers Welcome
In any given year, only one out of every three GPI attendees chooses to golf. If the past 24 years are any indication, two-thirds of the people who will come to Lake Park on September 8, 2007 will choose only to picnic and not to golf.
New This Year
Since this is a milestone anniversary, the GPI hostesses will be treating you like the honored guests you are. The hostesses will be happy to deliver your preferred beverage right to your picnic table (or on the golf course) at your request.
Under the Big Top
Greg has contracted with a company to provide hundreds of square feet of open-air tent space, so adverse weather is no excuse for you not to come to the picnic. These soaring tents -- 25 feet high -- will provide shelter in case of rain, and one tent will serve as a bandshell during seven hours of continuous live music.
Choices, Choices
Greg and Lisa will be providing a wide assortment of cold beverages, including eight different sodas, various domestic and imported beers, iced tea, lemonade, wine coolers, and an assortment of bottled water. If the temperature dips below sixty-five degrees, they will also be offering hot coffees and teas.
Global Proportions
Over 1,000 invitations will be mailed out to households in 35 states and twelve countries. Watch your mailbox in August -- the invitations will be sent no later than the fifteenth of the month.
