Hi Lisa! Hi Greg! I guessed on most of the poll!! I did see Mary Poppins Returns, A Star is Born and parts of Solo... this year. I would have liked to see more of the nominated fims (always!). Any recommendations?

I have seen so many films this year, unfortunately I did not see Roma. I think my favorite was “A Star is born”. Bradley Cooper as a rock star was quite the hunk.

You guys are the best!! Sorry I’m not much of a film buff, but enjoy your Oscar quizz

The film he references is Gravity. There is a sequence, I believe viewed on an old analog, black and white television, of men floating in space.

The movie he references is “Marooned,” which was released in 1969. I wonder if it came out before or after the (actual) moon landing?

BTW, I wasn’t disagreeing with Mark Metcalf. I saw the reference to Marooned in the credits and looked it up. I’ve never seen it.

Y Tu Mamá También was the reference in Roma?

We just watched Roma and I think the old stuck-in-space movie Marooned playing in the cinema refers to Gravity.

Sorry I can’t vote in your Oscar poll. The only movie I’ve seen in Mary Queen of Scots. Wanted to see others, but I don’t take the time.
