Has there ever been a year where a movie about a speech therapist appears to be the front-runner?!
Best to you both!

My guesses for the Oscar poll special questions:
“Ac-Cen-Tchu-Ate the Positive” lyrics by Johnny Mercer (music by one of my favorite composers, Harold Arlen)
Is it from the Bing Crosby pic-tcha “Here Come the Waves”?
February 21, 2011

Hi Kevin,
Congratulations!!! You were the first person to correctly answer trivia question number 1. Unfortunately, you missed on question number 2. Johnny Mercer’s version of “Ac-Cen-Tchu-Ate the Positive” may have been played in any number of movies. To the best of my knowledge, it played over the ending title credits of only one Academy award winning film, and that film wasn’t “Here Come the Waves”.

Thanks for allowing me to choose my options...so important in these days of stripping people of their rights.
By the way, 1935, best movie ,”Lullaby of Broadway”, song, “cheek to “cheek”, music by’Top Hat’, music and lyrics by Irving Berlin.
I hope you’re both well, and keeping the faith...hopefully, democracy will prevail and our 50 year negotiation tradition will continue. ‘On Wisconsin’!

Hi Christine,
Congratulations!!! Although three or four people correctly guessed the song and the singer before you, you are the first contestant to correctly name the movie in which the Johnny Mercer and Harold Arlen song “Ac-Cen-Tchu-Ate the Positive” appeared over the ending title credits; therefore the winners of our annual trivia contest are Kevin Wyderka and Christine Prevetti. Good job!!! Your prize? You get to keep your collective bargaining rights!!! Yippee. I mean it too.
