That is Billion with a “B”, right? I’m in!!! And Greg, I’ll be sure to set a
good chunk of change aside to help fund therapy for your “Cinaddiction”. Any one who drives to Madison after work for an 8:45 showing of “I’m Not There” on a Monday night in single digit weather in order to better judge in the Supporting Actress catagory may be in need of an intervention.

Hey Greg
You never stop amazing me. Great job!
I have not seen all of the nominated movies but I do love movies. Perhaps my favorite this year is Lars and the Real Girl which really got snubbed in my humble opinion. But hey who am I? Really who am I? I dont know anymore.
Well I can tell you this in this the longest most ridiculous, most depressing, coldest, snowiest of winters is that I am damn sick of it and I demand that it stop. Now!
On a lighter note I really have been working on my golf swing this winter (at Curry Dome) it has kept me sane.
After my pathetic showing at GPO last fall I decided I wouldnt show my face again unless I could crush the field. I am now ready to do that. You can take that to the bank. My swing has never been better, I have never understood the swing the way I do now and I promise you ,you will see a new and rejuvenated dboom next year. How s that for bullshit.
Anyway Greg it is always nice chatting with you. Say hi to Lisa and be well.

Hey Greg,

I saw NONE of the movies this year but put in my votes anyway. As a side note, am going to an encore showing of “The Spirit of the Marathon” this Thursday as I’m now a three time Marathon runner. Don’t know if it will ever make the “poll” but there’s been a lot of hype about it.

Take care and my best to Lisa,
Cathy

Hi Greg! Last time Michael Moore won an Oscar for Best Documentary - Bowling for Columbine in 2003 - he said in his speech that we were going into a fictitious war. I’m hoping he wins for no other reason than he can say “I told you so” on live TV.

Other than that my favoritie movies of the year were “Once”, and “Lars and the Real Girl”

Greg, you rascal! Having another birthday --- good on ya.

I’ve received the Cold Comfort Farm dvd and am very touched by your generosity and thoughtfulness. I mean, that’s nothing new of course. You have given me many things over the years, not always material objects. Two of my most vivid memories from the ‘60’s are being in your grandmother “Goldie’s” basement, watching Neil Armstrong walk on the moon. The other is my first kiss --- on new year’s eve when I had just turned fifteen (in the employees’ dining room at Cardinal Stritch College). So, thanks for the dvd’s, the memories and for being one of the MOST remarkable people I know. I love you. Betsy

Hi Greg, A little birdie told me your Birthday was the 2nd of July. Hope it was fun. I always enjoy by Birthday because I am greatful I got to enjoy another year of family and this beautiful world around us. One of these years I hope to be able to join you for your yearly get together but for now I will look forward to hearing from you. You are a special person and I am glad to have met you on my trip to Wisconsin. By the way, I just got back from there. Work sent me to Industrial Control School in Milwaukee. It was exhausting but I learned a great deal that will help me in my job. Did you know they have “SUMMERFEST” there every year. It is the largest music festival in the country. 10 to 14 days with 8 stages. They have every type of music from country to rap during the entire festival and each day there is a headliner. Stevie Wonder was there on my last day in Milwaukee. (I didn’t get to go...had the final exam the next morning!). Take care and again Happy Birthday.

As for your Oscar competition, which I find very stimulating, (and I am a big movie fan), I can’t participate because a good half of the films haven’t even come out in France at the time of your golf gala! But at least it helps me keep a list of films to see.

It just so happened that on 2 July I was in a small Maasai village near the Ngorogoro Crater in Tanzania, East Africa, and one of the elders whispered to me that it was Greg Postles Birthday. Unfortunately, I had not taken an international cell phone and there was no Internet service so I had to wait until I got back to these mosquito infested shores to wish you, “Happy Birthday!” Hope you are well and continue to celebrate. This is my belated congratulation to you on your July 2 birthday. I had two very good excuses for my belated reply to Lisa’s e-mail: First one is that I was in Ulanbaataar(capital city) of Mongolia. Second one is my primary e-mail address is byoungwkim@gmail.com. I rarely check my old e-mail address (bwkim@wi.rr.com).

I taught a 3-credit summer intensive course in “Phonetics of American English” for Department of English Education at Mongolia International University as a missionary professor this summer. My students are future English teachers in Mongolian middle & high schools. Most of them are Mongolians but I had foreign students from Inner Mongolia of China and Siberia of Russia.

This was spiritually very enriching learning experience for me but was very challenging to me physically because of its harsh high altitude sem-desert (steppe) environment. It was also psychologically challenging to me because of my inability to speak Mongolian and read Russian written language system they use in Mongolia. However, English is used as officially required language on campus for all lectures and university business. So I was fine as long as I was on campus. But I had first-hand experience of severe communicative disorders off campus.

Best wishes.

Byoung

Hi Lisa & Greg!
How’s your summer going? Same as always for me, running around with the boys- swimming, picnics, the art museum when it’s too hot- they can see paintings with naked ladies & we go to Miss Katie’s or Zaffiro’s after. We’ve moved accross 18 to Summit Meadows. Everything I said I’d never want; a ranch house in a subdivision(It’s an old one with the trees grown back), but CENTRAL AIR!!, ATTACHED GARAGE!!, 1 1/2 ACRES OF YARD!!, & best of all, the money I put into it shows like my gardens, instead of updating wiring (Fire, schmire I say), replacing wooden windows with broken pulleys (Put some ice on your smashed fingers & take and Advil)- Love, m

Hi Greg, thanks for thinking of me, I’d love to come but I won’t be in the neighbor hood then. Also it was great to see you at the reunion. You are still as great a guy as I remember from ‘68. Stay in touch and let me know if something else comes up that I might be around WI for.
